Video Licensing Policy

Last updated: December 23, 2025

1. Introduction

Welcome to Limetape’s Video Licensing Policy.

This page explains how videos available on Limetape may be used. Our goal is to provide clear, transparent, and fair usage rights, while protecting Limetape, its licensors, and users from misuse or misunderstanding.

All videos available on Limetape are licensed, not sold.

2. What “Licensing” Means

When you access or download a video from Limetape, you are not purchasing ownership of the video file.

Instead, you are granted a limited license to use the video under the terms described in this policy and in Limetape’s Terms of Service.

  • Ownership of all videos remains with Limetape and/or its licensors.
  • No ownership, copyright, or exclusive rights are transferred to you.
  • All rights not expressly granted are reserved.

3. Subscription-Based Licensing Model

Access to Limetape videos is provided through an active paid subscription.

3.1 License Grant

While your subscription is active, Limetape grants you a non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to use available videos in accordance with this policy.

3.2 Subscription Termination

When your subscription ends or is cancelled:

  • You may no longer download or use Limetape videos in new projects.
  • Content already published during an active subscription may remain live, provided it complies with this policy.
  • No rights are granted for new usage after termination.

Limetape does not provide lifetime, perpetual, or irrevocable licenses unless explicitly agreed in writing.

4. AI-Generated Content Disclosure

Some or all videos available on Limetape may be generated using artificial intelligence.

You acknowledge and agree that:

  • AI-generated content is provided “as is”.
  • Limetape does not guarantee uniqueness, originality, or exclusivity of any video.
  • Similar or identical content may exist elsewhere due to the nature of AI generation.
  • You are responsible for ensuring compliance with platform rules (e.g. TikTok, Instagram, advertising networks).

5. Permitted Uses

Subject to an active subscription and compliance with this policy, you may:

  • Use videos in social media posts, websites, and digital content.
  • Use videos in online advertising and marketing campaigns.
  • Edit, crop, modify, or combine videos into larger creative works.
  • Use videos for personal or commercial projects.

6. Prohibited Uses

You may not, under any circumstances:

  • Resell, sublicense, redistribute, or share videos as standalone files.
  • Upload Limetape videos to competing stock platforms, libraries, or marketplaces.
  • Claim ownership, authorship, or copyright of any video.
  • Register videos as trademarks, logos, or brand identifiers.
  • Use videos in pornographic, hateful, violent, or illegal content.
  • Use videos for misleading political messaging or disinformation.
  • Use videos for deepfakes, biometric identification, facial recognition, or AI model training.
  • Mint, sell, or distribute videos as NFTs or blockchain-based assets.

Violation of these rules may result in immediate account termination and legal action.

7. Exclusivity

All licenses granted by Limetape are non-exclusive.

Limetape does not offer exclusive licenses by default. Exclusive usage rights are available only by separate written agreement.

8. Attribution

Attribution is not required unless otherwise stated.

If you choose to credit the source, the following format is recommended:

Video by Limetape

Attribution does not grant any additional rights.

9. Refunds & Disputes

Due to the digital nature of the content:

  • Refunds are not automatic once videos are accessed or downloaded.
  • Refunds may be considered only in exceptional cases, such as:
    • corrupted or inaccessible files,
    • duplicate charges.

Before initiating any chargeback or dispute, users must contact info@limetape.com for resolution.

Abusive chargebacks may result in account suspension.

10. Responsibility & Liability

You are solely responsible for:

  • how videos are used,
  • compliance with applicable laws,
  • compliance with third-party platform rules.

Limetape is not responsible for claims, damages, or losses arising from user misuse of videos after download.

11. Reporting Misuse or Copyright Concerns

If you believe content has been misused, please contact:

Include:

  • the relevant video link,
  • description of the issue,
  • proof of rights or ownership (if applicable).

We will review all reports promptly and fairly.
